I once asked a client who designed computer hard drives what it took to be a great engineer. He explained that while schooling was essential, the best engineers were those who took apart everything from toasters to vacuum cleaner in their youth, i.e., individuals who had a passionate, innate interest in how things work.
Along those lines, I have been taking apart and exploring the psyche my entire life. My overriding interest, both personally and professionally, has been to learn how we can free up our human potential, to have rewarding, creative, and meaningful lives.
Through my own personal growth, ongoing consultation, spiritual practices, teaching a wide range of graduate level psychology courses, but mostly from decades of listening to clients struggle for inner peace, have a good working knowledge of how to assist those who are willing to face the troubling aspects life and who seek a richer, authentic life.
